4 big Emmerdale spoilers – Belle fights back and Cain’s accused of ‘murder’

Must read

This week, Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor Draper) confronts Tom King (James Chase) and persuades him to seek help for his issues.

However, during his doctor’s appointment, Tom cunningly shifts the blame onto Belle, suggesting she is the one with behavioural problems such as anger and coercive control.

Later, at a family dinner, Tom puts on a performance for the Dingles.

Belle, unaware of his deceit, is thrilled to hear that Tom’s appointment with the doctor went well.

The following day, after discovering that Belle didn’t wait in for his parcel, Tom’s anger escalates. He blames Belle for ruining the day and makes cruel remarks about her late mother.

In response, Belle pushes Tom over in front of the shocked villagers. Has Belle’s public outburst inadvertently supported Tom’s claim that she is the problematic one?

Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) are concerned about Isaac’s (Bobby Dunsmuir) growing attachment to Minty the Lamb.

The village fete begins in traditional style. When Minty disappears, Isaac suspects Cain and Moira of wrongdoing. Could the farmers have taken the lamb to the slaughterhouse?

The villagers, along with a newspaper photographer, join the search for Minty.

Ella Forster (Paula Lane) is thrown into a panic when Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) suggests they stay at her place, but she successfully diverts his proposal.

Later, on the village outskirts, we see Ella settling down for the night in her car, evidently without a fixed abode. The following morning, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) stumbles upon Ella sleeping in her car during her morning jog. Mortified, Ella pleads with Manpreet to keep her secret from Liam.

Ella’s anger flares when Manpreet accidentally reveals to Liam that she found Ella sleeping in her car. After some deliberation, Liam proposes that she temporarily moves into the spare room at Tenants, to which Ella consents.

Later, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) probes about Ella’s family as she moves her belongings into the house. When Ella spots an old photograph in Mandy’s possession, she reacts sharply, leaving Mandy puzzled.

As they adapt to their new living arrangement, Ella and Liam manoeuvre their relationship. Liam is perplexed when Ella declines to have her picture taken by the photographer and abruptly leaves.

Later on, Ella pays a visit to a care home – but who is she visiting?

In the Hospital, Ruby Fox Milligan (Beth Cordingly) is thrown into turmoil when Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) informs her that they can’t wake Nicky from his coma just yet.

Tensions rise when Ethan Anderson (Emile Jonh) crosses paths with a furious Caleb, who’s irate that Ethan appears unscathed while his son lies on life support.

Later, Cain, Caleb and Ruby are seething when they spot Ethan in the village, each of them thirsting for vengeance.

Later, on the outskirts of the Village, Ethan is found bloodied and beaten in the middle of the road after an intentional hit-and-run, with a car speeding away from the scene. Elsewhere, Ruby and Caleb anxiously await updates on Nicky’s condition.

As the fete unfolds in the village, the villagers are shocked when a battered Ethan stumbles into view before collapsing on Main Street. Regaining consciousness, Ethan insists he didn’t see his attacker as his family gathers around him. From a distance, the three prime suspects (Cain, Caleb and Ruby) observe the unfolding drama.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
