Dancing on Ice 2025 adds Springwatch star

Dancing on Ice has confirmed the 11th celebrity contestant taking to the ice in next year’s series.

Television presenter Michaela Strachan is the latest star to be unveiled as part of the Dancing on Ice 2025 line-up, with the ITV skating show set to return to screens early next year.

Strachan – known for presenting BBC nature shows such as Springwatch and Winterwatch – appeared on Lorraine today to announce their participation.

Talking about her experience on the ice, Strachan said: “It’s going to be a big challenge. The last time I was on ice was four years ago when I took the kids.

“I’m not one of those people who holds onto the sides, I guess. because I was trained as a dancer, I’ve got a bit of balance.”

Asked why she decided to sign up for the show, she replied: “I’ve always been one of those people who says, ‘Yes, I’ll do that’.”

Strachan had teased her announcement earlier this morning on social media, posting: “I’m on @lorraine this morning. Got an announcement…???? Any guesses?”

Strachan joins TOWIE stars Dan Edgar and Ferne McCann in next year’s competition, plus soap stars Sam Aston of Coronation Street fame, EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks and Hollyoaks‘ Chelsee Healey.

The Dancing on Ice 2025 line-up so far also includes Love Island star Chris Taylor, The Traitors finalist Mollie Pearce, Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave, comedian Josh Jones and ex-footballer Anton Ferdinand.

One final celebrity contestant is expected to be announced this week, completing the all-star line-up.

Dancing on Ice will return in 2025 on ITV1 and ITVX.
