The Miami Police Department reported that they received a call from the hotel at 3.22pm on February 7, with Liuzzo’s time of death recorded as 3.34pm. The case is currently being treated as an “overdose death”.

Liuzzo, who never married, worked in the art sector as a consultant and resided in a flat near the hotel where his body was discovered. Beatrice was 17 when she started dating Liuzzo, who was then 24.

Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice’s mother, commented at the time: “We all have our own journeys and have to learn our way but Beatrice is a sensible girl, soon to be 18, with many friends including Paolo.”

A close friend of Liuzzo told The Sun that he led “a very fast lifestyle and we all feared it would catch up with him eventually”.

In 2020, Beatrice tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. They welcomed their first child, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, in September 2021.

Yesterday (Tuesday, October 1) they shared the heartwarming news that Beatrice is now pregnant with their second child, due in early spring. Edoardo also has an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship – Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Woolf.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

New family photos were released to mark the announcement. One shows blonde-haired Sienna from behind as she walks along a country lane, holding hands in the middle of her father and big brother Wolfie.

Another picture shows a delighted Beatrice, wearing a black puffer jacket, smiling at the camera, while being embraced by Mr Mapelli Mozzi, who is gazing at his wife. King Charles has been informed and both families are “delighted”, the Palace added.
