The latest Helldivers 2 update has mostly been a success with major buffs hitting most of the best weapons and stratagems. Alongside the arrival of the new Chemical Agents warbond, fans are happy with the massive update.

However, bot runs in Helldivers 2 are seemingly busted with the arrival of the latest patch. In one of the most noticeable issues with the game right now, bot drops spawns are so slow that players can’t complete missions.

Helldivers 2 automaton drops are too slow

For players looking to quickly farm common samples and quick requisition slips, running Eradicate Automaton Forces missions was an effective strategy. By placing Rocket, Autocannon and Mortar turrets, you’re able to wipe out most robot drop ships with ease.

However, this method has been met with multiple issues in the game’s most recent patch. For now, dropship kills only count towards a single percent, or sometimes zero percent, of mission progress.

Additionally, the spawn rate for dropships has been massively reduced. With no ground forces calling in reinforcements, the reduced spawn rate means effective players can only complete around 60% of the mission.

Alongside experiencing the issue ourselves on solo eradications, fans on Reddit have complained about the issue. While this could be an intentional change not mentioned in the patch notes, like the suite of stealth nerfs, it could also be a bug.

Fans aren’t happy

In the Helldivers 2 subreddit, many players have complained about the issue stating it will “single handedly cripple bot MOs (major orders)”.

“Haven’t been able to finish any of these solo in 6/7, not because I die, but because no matter what I never get past 60% completion by time,” one player said. “It does feel like there are less enemies coming in, but also they’re giving out less per kill.”

Players experiencing the issue have noticed it across every difficulty with players fighting on Super Helldive mode still unable to complete eradication missions.

Hopefully, Arrowhead issues a fix in the future to make these missions functional again.
