MrBeast, the world’s most popular YouTuber, and Amazon’s production company Prime Video are facing a lawsuit alleging abuse on the set of his forthcoming competition show Beast Games.

Five unnamed contestants on the show filed the class-action lawsuit on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming they were subjected to unfair conditions, “chronic mistreatment” and sexual harassment.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, announced the competition in March. It has been produced by his production company MrB2024 alongside Amazon, which touted the series as the “biggest live reality show in history”, with more than 1,000 contestants competing for a single cash prize of $5 million (£3.8 million).
