Dead By Daylight Spinoff Project T Cancelled Due To Poor Reception

Must read

Project T, the 1-4 player PvE co-op shooter from Midwinter Entertainment and Behaviour Interactive, has been cancelled. The announcement came via social media on Tuesday from the studio.

According to Behaviour Interactive, results of a risk assessment after recent playtests “yielded unsatisfactory overall results”. This led to the decision to end development of the game immediately.

“When we conceptualized this project, we wanted to have players involved in it as early as possible, which led to the creation of this Insider Program,” the studio said.

“This approach has allowed us to get very early validation on Project T’s core design and gameplay, which is something that often comes much further into the production of a game. Following the playtest in July, we ran a thorough internal risk assessment from a product and commercial perspective. While a number of you expressed appreciation for what you played, unfortunately, the outcome of this deep analysis yielded unsatisfactory overall results.”

They closed the statement by saying the decision was made with a heavy heart while thanking players for their support.

As far as what’s next for the studio and the developers working on the game, that is unknown. Nothing else regarding other projects within the company were mentioned with the announcement.

The last time players got a look at Project T was back in May. Since then, the news had been quite until the announcement of its cancellation.
