Tommy Fury shares ideal fight date as he ramps up training after Molly-Mae split

Tommy Fury is hoping to return to the boxing ring in December.

The younger brother of heavyweight icon Tyson Fury hasn’t fought since picking up a controversial unanimous decision win over KSI last October.

After stretching his perfect record to 10-0, Fury got a surgery that he’d ‘been putting off for years’ on his right hand and he’s only just started punching with it again.

The 25-year-old has been sharing videos of him hitting pads and training hard ever since his relationship with reality TV star Molly-Mae Hague came to an end.

The former couple met in 2019 on ITV dating show Love Island, before shacking up together in Manchester and welcoming a baby daughter named Bambi in 2023.

Last month, Molly and Tommy released separate social media statements confirming their shock split.

As speculation mounts about the reason for their engagement ending, ‘TNT’ is trying to shift the focus to his boxing comeback, which he hopes will take place this year.

“I’m feeling good. I’m feeling fresh,” Fury said in a YouTube video documenting a recent morning run with his brother, Roman Fury.

“My hand is back in use. In the last two weeks, I’ve started using my hand again. That’s feeling good. Hopefully, stay on track and fight in December.

“That’s what I’d like to do but right now it’s just about getting fit and getting back in shape. 7lbs down already.”

Fury hinted that he’s also got some big things happening away from fighting, but insisted that the goal is to return to the ring before the year is over.

He added: “I’ve got some very exciting collaborations coming up this month.

“Two very big ones. Heavyweight-style big ones. I think I’ve got something very, very exciting lined up for the back end of the year.

“Obviously, I’ve got my recovery. My hand it back in play. I can use the right again. So, it’s all about getting fit now, getting back in shape and finishing off the year with a fight.

“So, plenty of things to look forward to. Stay tuned, I guess.”

According to The Sun, Fury is in talks to appear on another reality TV show.

ITV bosses are hoping to convince him to sign up for the latest series of I’m A Celebrity, but it begins shooting in November and his participation would mean a 2024 boxing comeback is impossible.

A show insider said: “Tommy is a great name as a potential campmate as he’s already known to the ITV audience, and he’d be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials.

“Bosses are talking with lots of celebrities and are determined to make this year’s line-up one of the best.”
