Jeremy Kyle ‘egged on’ audience to boo guest, inquest told

A guest died a week after an appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show during which the presenter had encouraged the audience to “boo him”, an inquest has heard.

Steve Dymond, from Portsmouth, Hampshire, is believed to have taken his own life seven days after filming for the programme in May 2019.

He had taken a lie-detector test for the ITV show after being accused of cheating on his former fiancée, Jane Callaghan, from Gosport.

Dymond died of a morphine overdose combined with a heart condition

The inquest at Winchester coroner’s court was told that Dymond died at his home in Portsmouth of a combination of a morphine overdose and ventricular hypertrophy, a heart condition.
