What Are Your Thoughts on Star Wars Outlaws So Far?
Star Wars Outlaws has been met with a bit of a mixed reception, especially for PlayStation players that had to start their early release playthroughs again due to issues with bugs. With that said, occasional bug aside, I’m impressed with the world and how expansive it is. I think the gameplay could do with some polishing and, at times, the pacing is a little slower than expected, but overall, I’m happy to see a new story set in the Star Wars universe. In saying that, I’m a relatively easy gamer to please, and I do know some of the more diehard fans have much stronger feelings about the title.
Which Games Made You Fall in Love with Gaming?
Some people fall in love with gaming as soon as they pick up a controller, but for others, it can take a special kind of game to help ignite that passion. I first started playing games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic The Hedgehog when I was three or four years old, but it wasn’t until a few years later that I really started to fall in love with gaming. The first video game that really drew me in was Final Fantasy Mystic Quest: a dumbed-down JRPG designed specifically for Western audiences. It was pretty basic when compared to a mainline Final Fantasy game but perfect for a six-year-old who was still new to the genre. A few years later, I got my hands on Pokemon Blue, and the year after that, Shenmue. From that point onwards, I was completely hooked on video games and have remained that way ever since.
What’s The Best Game You’ve Never Played?
Some of us simply don’t have the time or resources to get around to all of the highly-regarded titles on the market. I’ve unfortunately not had a chance to check out Baldur’s Gate 3 yet, and whether I will get the time to remains to be seen. What absolute “must-play” title have you not tried, either because you can’t or simply because it doesn’t interest you?
What Was Your Go-To Game As a Kid?
It’s so hard to pick out just one when there are a handful of memorable titles. However, Pokemon on the GBC all the way to the 3DS, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon on the PS1 and PS2, and Ratchet & Clank on the PS2 and PS3 were my most common cycle of games. In addition to this, though, I do have very strong memories of a set of quirky Nickelodeon games titled the Nicktoons Unite! franchise, which featured crossover stories with playable characters from various cartoons, such as Spongebob Squarepants, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron, Invader Zim, and more.
Who Do You Wish Was A Playable Character In Super Smash Bros?
Super Smash Bros is a massive series and is one of Nintendo’s best-selling ones, too. The game features characters from various video game franchises, a lot of which are Nintendo’s very own. However, especially with Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Nintendo has been branching out. This has left a lot of players wanting to see more characters in the game. Right now, I main Zelda or Zero Suit Samus, but if they added Lara Croft to the mix, I may change that.
