“Stop using the unit and return it to your nearest Asda store for a full refund or exchange. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

“If you would like any further information, please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.”

Discount supermarket Aldi has made an “emergency withdrawal” of meat that was labelled with the wrong use-by date, posing a risk to customers.

The warning was shared for its Chinese Pork Loin Steaks and BBQ Pork Loin Steaks which display a use-by date, June 22.

Aldi states: “As a precautionary measure, our supplier is recalling Chinese Pork Loin Steaks and BBQ Pork Loin Steaks because a small number of products have had the incorrect use-by date applied of June 22.

“Anyone who bought this product should return it to their nearest store for a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
