Jenni Falconer has revealed that she was burgled on holiday in Spain by thugs just days after actress Jacqueline Jossa was also struck by masked thieves in Marbella.
The 48-year-old radio and TV host, her 12-year-old daughter Ella and nine of her friends were asleep in a villa in Marbella when the burglars broke in and stole valuable items.
The items that were taken include a watch and a necklace that holds sentimental value.
Jenni told The Mirror: ‘There were 12 people in that house, many of them children. It could have been so much worse.Â
‘I always try to find the positive in something and move on, learn from it.’

Jacqueline Jossa, 31, was also robbed last weekend at her villa, close to where Jenni stayed.
The Eastenders star woke up to the bright torch lights of two masked thieves who raided the whole house, including the rooms that her children were staying in, and stole £20,000 worth of designer clothing, money and jewellery – including her engagement ring.
The robbers are said to have fled after seeing her. While nobody was harmed, sources say Jossa and her husband Dan Osborne have been left ‘shaken up’ by the encounter.
A source told The Sun: ‘Jacqueline and Dan are really shaken. She raised the alarm after seeing a torch and was faced with two men in balaclavas.
‘Both men fled after they saw her. It is terrifying to think what could have happened if the kids had woken and seen the men in their bedroom.’
Jenni, who frequently holidays in Spain, has had second thoughts about returning after she was the latest celebrity to be burgled there.
The Scottish broadcaster said: ‘It seems to be something that’s happening quite a lot in Spain, which is so sad and such a shame. I studied Spanish at university. I love the language, I love the culture, I love the country. But yeah, it has maybe made me rethink possibly whereabouts I would go and what kind of holiday I would go on.’

The latest robberies come after another BBC star, former Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, was this month targeted by robbers who allegedly used a sedative gas on him and his 81-year-old mother Eileen in their rented Ibiza villa in order to steal from the pair.
A source with knowledge of the raid said the burglars used an unknown type of gas to sedate the sleeping occupants of the villa.
The source said: ‘They were on the property for an hour and were able to make a thorough search for any valuables in the middle of the night.
‘These guys were not in a rush and knew that they had all the time in the world because they had knocked everyone out.
‘They were quite brazen. They even ripped a safe off the wall, which must have made quite a noise. Then they calmly emptied the contents out in the garden.
‘The people renting the villa only found out what had happened when they woke up in the morning to discover their jewellery was missing.
‘There is a strong possibility that these men were also the ones who robbed Nick Grimshaw and his mother. They certainly knew what they were doing.’
The presenter and his loved ones were said to be unhurt, but lost some valuables, and have since returned home.
