Senior Technician – The Bike Project

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees. We were founded 10 years ago by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

Now just over 10 years later, The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 27 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, a shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham. To date we have supported over 12,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

Whilst the role is advertised as full time we are very open to applicants who are looking for a part time position, and are happy to discuss flexibility around start and finish times dependant upon your needs. Are you passionate about cycles and technical repair work? Are you passionate about helping people and providing a service for people who need it? The Bike Project are looking for a Senior Technician to service and repair cycles, ensuring the highest standards of quality are kept.

Senior Salesperson – Giant Twickenham

We are looking for a full-time sales person to work in our Twickenham store. Maybe you have been cutting your teeth at Halfords, Evans, Decathlon, Balfe’s or even a slightly ramshackle IBD? If so, are you looking to work in a small, well organised and friendly bike company?

We are looking for a bright, outgoing and cheerful person to work directing and selling to customers as they enter the store and shop from our showroom. You will also help and support the store manager, workshop staff, and senior bike fitter. You will be completely immersed in the day to day demands of a busy cycle retailer, bike fitting studio and professional workshop.

For the right candidate there are even opportunities to progress your skills to build display bikes, become a service mechanic, and learn Bike Fitting skills. Manager, International Marketing – Fox Factory

The International Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and driving the central marketing strategy across all international markets, ensuring alignment with the company’s global business goals and collaboration with regional distributors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the bike industry and a proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with regional partners.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, your core responsibilities will include: strategy development, team coordination, distributor collaboration, market research, performance monitoring, budget management, and cross-functional integration.

Specific knowledge, skills or abilities required include: experience in the outdoor sports industry, preferably in the mountain biking sector, strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform strategic decisions, excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals and external partners, the ability to travel internationally. Fluency in English is a must; additional languages is appreciated.

Fox Dispatch Co-ordinator – Silverfish UK

Based at our Fox Service Centre in Risca, South Wales, the primary role is to coordinate the dispatch of Fox product orders to our customers throughout the UK and Ireland. The specific duties of this post will include, though not be limited to: ensure timely dispatch of customer orders, picking orders, packing orders, booking parcels with couriers, maintain a clean and organised work area, follow all processes and procedures that are in effect for the operation of the department, and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations within the department.

Skills and experience/qualifications for the role include: an interest in cycling is desirable but not essential, GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths, a good level of numeracy, literacy, and organisational skills, a good team player, good timekeeping, and attention to detail.
