‘Money is no object!’ Oasis fans in Manchester say they’d spend £500 on tickets for the iconic band’s reunion – but fear Liam and Noel will fall out AGAIN during run of gigs

Must read

Fans of Oasis have been left reeling in anticipation following hints of a reunion and many claim they would pay ‘anything’ to see a gig – but many of them doubt the brothers will make it through the tour without having another spat.

Noel Gallagher once claimed it would take ‘half a billion pounds’ for him to reunite Oasis, but apparently the demand for the band’s comeback is so financially lucrative that the 57-year-old is finally coming to the table.

The Britpop icons’ return is now closer than ever after Liam, 51, teased an official reunion during his set at Reading Festival last night.

Fans are already gearing up to raid their savings accounts to grab tickets, with some willing to pay a whopping £500 for a chance to see them play.

However, plenty told MailOnline that they doubt the truce will last, as ‘anything could happen’ – and some even think the tour will get cancelled after Noel and Liam have yet another fall out.

Oasis abruptly disbanded after the brothers had a backstage bust-up in Paris in 2009 – and they did not speak for another 15 years (band pictured in 1993)

Liam Gallagher's, 51, net worth is allegedly eight times that of his elder brother Noel, 58 - but experts say both are set to make £400million if the reunion goes ahead (pictured in 2008)

Keen fan Daniel Williams, from Staffordshire, told MailOnline: ‘I think they will reunite. I’d be excited if they did, I loved them when I was young.

‘Money would be no object. They should definitely play in Manchester, it’s where they’re from.’

But he cautioned: ‘I think they will fall out again, they’re like a cat and dog.’

Sarah, from Wigan, also added a sceptical tone, saying: ‘Social media seems to suggest they will get back together but I can’t quite see it – it might be a bit of a money-making scheme.

‘I do think it’s a scheme but I will try and get tickets and I’d spend about £100. I’ve seen them both separately a couple of times.’

Ann, also from Wigan, said: ‘I’m still not sure it’s just a joke. I probably wouldn’t go see them again.

‘I saw them in their heyday, I don’t need to do it again. I’d spend about £80 if I did. They’re a big part of my youth.

‘I think they will probably fall out again. I think they’re trying to beat the Taylor Swift number of concerts and it’s a bit of a challenge.’

Leslie, from Stoke-on-Trent, said she felt ’70 per cent’ excited.

She said: ‘I think they will reunite and I think they should – it’ll be a good thing for Manchester and the fans.

‘I’m about 70 per cent excited for them reuniting – my partner is on the 100 per cent scale.

‘I think it would be good to see them. I think they should start in Manchester – you should play where you’re proud.

‘I think they’ll probably fall out about 10 minutes before the first concert.’

Lifelong Oasis fan Liam, 33. told MailOnline he thinks to reunion will come to fruition ‘because of the success of Liam’s Definitely Maybe tour’.

He said: ‘I went to it myself, it was unbelievable. It just seems like Liam’s been a lot more active.

‘Even if he doesn’t want to be best mates with Liam, he’ll make a ridiculous amount of money. It’s a no brainer.

‘I’m very excited. I’ll be trying for tickets. They’re quite expensive – I’ll pay anything under £150.

‘I think they will fall out again – even backstage on the same night, knowing what they’re like. Get a couple of beers down them and anything could happen.’

Wesley, from Wrexham, North Wales , said: ‘I think they will probably reunite. I love Oasis, I’ve seen them loads of times, but it’s been on and off for so long.

‘I’m very excited – but I don’t think we’ll get tickets, is the trouble.

‘They’ll cost a lot of money. I’d probably spend £500 max, no more than that. It’s a lot of money.

‘I think the truce will last about two shows max, to be honest with you – I can see them going back to the old ways.’

Danny, from Nottingham, is also worried about missing out due to potentially astronomical prices.

‘I’m very excited, as long as I get a ticket – so I’m slightly nervous at the moment because I don’t know if I’ll get one. I’d spend over £200, definitely. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.

‘I think they’ll fall out again. They’d fall out with themselves sat in a room. Just hopefully not before I go.’

Morgan, from Manchester, said the brothers ‘must’ get back together, adding: ‘I hope they reunite. They must – everyone would go to it.

‘I love Oasis, I’m very excited. It’s very Dad-sort of music. I was brought up on it. I would spend a lot on tickets but I’d be upset if they were expensive. I’d spend about £200.

‘They’re brothers. They need to be friends and carry on performing together.’

Beccy, also from Manchester, agreed and said she would pay up to £200 to watch one of the band’s comeback gigs, adding: ‘It’s got to happen – I’m very excited.

‘It’s just massive. I’d spend £200 but tickets will probably be more. They’ll play somewhere massive – it would be nice if it was somewhere small and intimate, though.

When asked whether she feared the Gallaghers could go to war with each other yet again, she suggested: ‘They’re brothers – they’ll get over it.’

Meanwhile, Alex, from Cardiff, said: ‘All the signs are there on social media – it’s looking promising. I’d pay almost anything, within reason – £300 maybe.

‘I’m quite keen to see one of their earlier gigs because I don’t think they’ll make it through the whole tour if they fall out and might just cancel it.’
