Planet Fitness is once again launching its High School Summer Pass program that promotes teens to work out this summer for free. This is the fourth year for the initiative for the fitness club.
Starting Saturday, June 1 teenagers between the ages of 14 to 19 can sign up for the free program at all Planet Fitness gyms across the United States and Canada. The High School Summer Pass is not available in Puerto Rico. For teens younger than 18, his or her parent must sign a waiver to allow the teen to enroll in the program. This summer program runs though Aug. 31.
“The High School Summer Pass program offers a solution for teens to stay active during the summer when school is out and important academic and extracurricular programs such as sports, gym class and after-school activities are in recess,” said Becky Zirlen, senior director of public relations at Planet Fitness.
High School Sumer Pass participants will each have access to free fitness training from in-club certified trainers and free workouts designed specifically for high schoolers in the Planet Fitness app, she said.
Here’s what you need to know about this year’s High School Summer Pass program:
Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program: How to sign up
Teens can sign up at the High School Summer Pass ’24 link. Participants can also register in person at a local Planet Fitness location.
Teens under the age of 18 will need to bring their parent to register for the High School Summer Program at the fitness club or have their signature on the electronic waiver. After the waiver is signed, teens will be able to work out independently.
Parents who wish to exercise with their children at Planet Fitness will need to get their own membership.
Program participants must show they are a high school student, however they do not need to use a designated school email to register for the program. Planet Fitness recommends not using a “edu” email to register for the program as it can block online signups.
Do teens need the Planet Fitness App?
Using the same email used to register for the High School Summer Pass, program participants will be able to access their account in the app. registrants will need to create an account with the same email and on June 1, the pass will automatically link to the account. A verification code will be sent to that email as well.
Staying somewhere else this summer? No problem
You can change which Planet Fitness location you wish to frequent at by re-registering at the High School Summer Pass ’24 link and choosing an updated location where you would like to go. You must use the same email address and information you already inputted to make the change.
Will fitness classes be offered?
Yes. All participants will have access to the free fitness classes offered through the Planet Fitness PE@PF program.
