Piccadilly line disruptions this weekend: Important travel information for Harrow residents – Harrow Online

Must read

Harrow residents should be aware of disruptions on the Piccadilly line from Saturday, 17 August, to Sunday, 1 September, as Transport for London (TfL) undertakes planned works in preparation for the introduction of new trains.

There will be no Piccadilly line service between Wood Green and Cockfosters, with an extended closure from King’s Cross to Cockfosters from 00:30 to 06:00 on Saturday, 17 August. There will also be no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge; however, the Met line will continue to operate as usual.

Services on the Piccadilly line will be reduced between Wood Green and Acton Town, and there will be fewer trains running to Heathrow Terminal 4.

If you’re heading to the Emirates Stadium during these dates, consider using the Victoria line, London Overground, or national rail services, with Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington stations both within a 20-minute walk of the stadium.

TfL advises avoiding interchange at King’s Cross St. Pancras where possible, as it is expected to be particularly busy during this period.

Normal services on the Piccadilly line are scheduled to resume on Monday, 2 September. Residents are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra time, and check for updates before travelling. For more information, visit the TfL website.
