The first trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy has been released for an exclusive audience.
Just months after the sequel was officially confirmed, moviegoers were treated to a first look at the upcoming instalment. The trailer played in cinemas during the trailer previews for It Ends With Us.
Viewers saw the return of Bridget (Renée Zellweger) as she navigates motherhood alone with two children.

The beloved character is, of course, supported by her long-standing pals Sharon (Sally Phillips), Jude (Shirley Henderson) and Tom (James Callis) – but no one expected to see playboy Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) in the role of the unlikely babysitter.
After being absent from Bridget Jones’s Baby, it’s reassuring to see Daniel hasn’t changed too much. Whipping up some cocktails alongside Bridget’s curious children, Daniel names the alcoholic concoction a “dirty bitch”.
He takes a sip and declares it might just be called a “filthy bitch” instead – a cheeky nod back to one of Daniel’s notorious lines from the first movie.

The trailer also showed the return of Emma Thompson as Dr Rawlings, who asks a frazzled-looking Bridget if she’s okay. With the hapless romantic back on the dating scene again, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall have been teased as potential love interests.
The sequel boasts a star-studded cast with Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker and Leila Farzad all joining the franchise. Meanwhile, Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones are reprising their roles as Bridget’s parents Colin and Pamela.
The trailer comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s (August 8) announcement that filming had officially wrapped.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released on February 14, 2025.
