A Taylor Swift fan who forked over more than $2,000 on flights to Vienna to see her Eras Tour has sparked outrage for insisting the singer cover her travel costs after canceling the show due to terrorist threat.
The Cruel Summer songstress, 34, announced on Wednesday that the three concerts she had planned for this weekend in the Austrian city were no longer happening after government officials uncovered a harrowing Isis terror plot.
Immediately after the news hit the web, devastated Swifties took to social media to share their heartbreak over the cancelation – especially those who had flown from different countries and spent a lot of money to get there.
But one fan, named Ashley, came under fierce scrutiny after she demanded that Taylor give her a ‘full refund’ for not only her concert ticket, but for her outfit, flights, and hotel too.
The social media user claimed that she had been ‘scammed’ by the hitmaker in the scathing tweet, explaining that she lost thousands of dollars due to the cancelation.

Ashley’s post quickly went viral and it led to her receiving immense criticism from other Swifties, who branded her as ‘entitled’ and ‘selfish’ for complaining.
In the tweet, which has since been deleted, Ashley broke down how much she had spent on the canceled Vienna concert.
She said she had paid €420 for her outfit, €593 on the flights and €268 on the hotel. Between that and her €839 tickets, she said the cost totaled over €2,000, or $2,182.
‘I need a full refund on everything, not just the tickets,’ she scathed, while tagging Taylor’s team. ‘Everyone join my hashtag #scammedbytaylorswift.’Â
Immediately, Taylor fans erupted in fury over Ashley’s response to the situation.
‘SERIOUSLY?! You guys are so damn selfish!’ one person wrote, alongside a screenshot of Ashley’s post.
‘Imagine if Taylor didn’t cancel and got killed. You’d never be able to live with yourselves.
‘I get it sucks but omfg if that’s how you’re going to behave, just leave the fandom.Â

‘And if you’re really that butthurt on how much you spent then sell it. Don’t come at Taylor for this.’
‘So basically, you’d rather put your life on the line instead of losing a couple hundred dollars? Gotcha,’ another user replied to Ashley.
‘Are you serious girl?’ asked someone else. ‘The government decided to cancel the three shows. Taylor can’t do anything about it.
‘There’s more people who paid for flights and a hotel, you’re not the only one. At least thank god you’re f**king alive.’
A different fan slammed, ‘Girl your life got saved from a terrorist attack. Use your f**king brain. WTF is wrong with you?’
‘Girl your life and the lives of many others were possibly saved by this cancelation,’ read a fifth tweet. ‘Taylor doesn’t owe you anything.’
A sixth said, ‘You need to get your priorities straight. Money comes back, you only have one life.
‘The government is doing its job by protecting its residents and tourists.’Â
‘Only dumb people complain about the money they lost,’ replied someone else. ‘They should be happy to have their lives saved.’Â
But Ashley was not the only fan to voice her disappointment over the cancelation.
Many other devastated Swifties took to social media to share their heartbreak over the cancelationÂ
One woman named Kayla Sommese told Business Insider that she had spent more than $5,000 and traveled for 24 hours for the concert
‘Did they just cancel my Eras show in Vienna? My last f**king hope of seeing Taylor after I spent the whole day trying to get tickets and my whole PTO was planned around this?’ another heartbroken fan tweeted.
‘I’m absolutely devastated for my sister. After countless attempts to get affordable tickets to any US show, she met a Swiftie in her university that happened to have an extra ticket for Vienna,’ revealed someone else.
‘She spent her savings for this trip with hope to see Taylor for the first time ever.’Â
‘I spent all my saves on this trip. Saved up all year,’ a different person wrote. ‘I was supposed to see Taylor with my best friend that I met because of Taylor.
‘It was supposed to be the best weekend of my life. All taken away from me in just seconds. My whole body is in pain, I feel empty.’
‘Sitting in a Vienna hotel room processing the fact that the Taylor Swift concert I’ve been looking forward to for a year, that I flew halfway around the world for, has just been canceled,’ read another post.

Beran A., 19, was arrested in Ternitz, south of Vienna, Wednesday morning while a second teen, aged 17, was detained in the Austrian capital in the afternoon, according to director-general for public safety Franz Ruf.Â
Austrian media reported that the suspects planned to drive a car into groups of Swifties expected to gather outside the venue before attacking with machetes and knives.Â
The 19-year-old confessed to his plans to ‘kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue,’ Austrian security officials said.Â
Franz also confirmed that ‘explosives were manufactured’ at the suspect’s home after local media reported that the 19-year-old had stolen chemicals from his former workplace, a metal processing company also in Ternitz, to build a bomb.Â
‘Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Vienna shows canceled due to government officials’ confirmation of planned terrorist attack,’ a statement posted by the promoter read.
‘With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.
‘All tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days.’
