This Morning star in emergency hospital dash after experiencing ‘worst pain’

A star of This Morning was rushed to hospital after experiencing severe back pain.

TV vet Scott Miller shared a video from his hospital bed after spending the night in A&E. Scott, originally from Australia, looked visibly drained as he issued a health update with his followers, revealing he is unable to stand up at the moment.

He began: “I’m having a bit of a tough time. I’ve really really injured my back and can’t stand up at the moment.” Dr Scott explained he spent the night in A&E but was moved to St Peter’s Hospital to await an MRI scan.

The ITV star touched upon the recent demonstrations organised by far-right groups which descended into riots in UK towns and cities. There was unrest in Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Hull, Stoke-on-Trent, Blackpool and Belfast, with immigrants targeted in the attacks.

Dr Scott explained that those caring for him in the hospital “have accents” like him, explaining the importance of immigrants to his followers. He continued: “95 percent of the people here, who have treated me so well, all have accents like me and have all done an amazing job.

If it wasn’t for them, this place wouldn’t run. Immigrants bring a lot of really positive things so just be kind and let’s be calm and appreciate everyone. No matter their colour, their race, people can provide really positive benefits to society when really terrible things happen.”

Scott concluded: “We can’t tarnish everyone with the same brush because, in my experience today, immigrants bring so much and I’m an immigrant too.”

In the caption, he added: “The staff have been amazing, so attentive and kind as I received pain medication, examinations and soon an MRI for the worst back pain I’ve ever experienced in my life. This is not a pity party or a sympathy request, rather a grateful post for the kindness and humanity I’ve witnessed and experienced since my admission to hospital.”

Scott addressed the riots in the caption, admitting he was “pained” to see the attacks occurring around the country. He added: “Generalisations are truly the worst thing we can do as humans, and to blame a section of society for one person’s actions makes no sense.

“I remind myself that I am not British, and in the Veterinary and many other health professions, we rely on foreigners heavily to care for patients, both human and animal.” He signed off the post by thanking NHS staff for looking after him at the hospital.

Scott received an influx of messages from fans who shares well wishes in the comments, with This Morning presenter Dermot O’Leary writing: “Hey man, get well soon.” A second added: “Sorry to hear you’re in such pain. Hope the MRI gives you answers and you’re feeling better soon.”

“Sorry to hear you’re in such pain Dr Scott. Sending all my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Very glad you’re receiving the best treatment and care,” penned another user.
