Best Galaxy Z Fold 6 deals: Save £640 from Samsung when you trade-in

Must read

Looking for the best Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 deals? You won’t want to look much further because we have complied the best contract and SIM-free deals for the Samsung Galaxy Fold6 after the South Korean tech experts announced its arrival on Friday July 19.

July 2024 saw the Galaxy Z Fold 6 announced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with a brand-new redesign including a increased aspect ratio when it comes to the screen. We now have an outer screen aspect ratio of 22.1:9 which is wider than the 23.1:9 Galaxy Z Fold5 display while the inner display ratio is also a bit wider at 20.9:18.

There are plenty of other changes that has happened to the device but if you’re here solely to find the best deals for the Galaxy Z Fold6 then don’t worry because we have the best offers that you can get now. Our best deal if you want a SIM-free phone is from Samsung itself because it is offering some brilliant trade-in deals.

You can get the Fold6 starting at £1,799 and you could get £640 off the device with a trade-in. Samsung is also giving away a free year of accidental insurance in case something goes wrong.

But here’s a quick rundown of the deals that we think are the ones you should go for if all you want to do is grab that new, shiny mobile. However because it’s a new release, don’t expect amazing deals because you might have to wait a while.

There are significant changes on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 which you might not expect. The biggest change we noticed was the increased screen ratios. There is now an aspect ratio of 22.1:9 which is wider than the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the inner ratio has also changed slightly an aspect ratio of 20.9:18.

There also some significant weight changes, making the Z Fold6 six per cent less in terms of weight meaning it won’t feel as heavy in your pocket.

Like other new phone releases, there are also changes to the internals. The Galaxy Z Fold6 now features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC as well as 12GB of RAM. You can also get 128GB, 256GB and 1TB variants of the phone.

There are no changes to the cameras unfortunately with the Fold6 keeping the 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto lenses. You’ll also keep the 10MP front camera on the device as well.

One of the most interesting points is the inclusion of a vapor chamber inside the device to help keep it cooler. Whether or not we will see a difference on performance thanks to the new larger vapor chamber, we will have to see

Just like its most recent Galaxy phones, we will see all the advanced generative AI features that Samsung boasted about last year including Smart Select Translations and Sketch to Image. You will also get Android 14 packed on the device including OneUI 6.1.  All in all, the Fold6 will start from £1,799 up to £2,099 depending on the variant that you want to get.

If you are looking to pre order the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 deals, we have listed all the best SIM-free deals as well as the contract deals that you can jump on.

At the moment with the Fold6 only just on pre-order, you’ll struggle to find a real deal but as we mentioned above, the best way to go in terms of cash is buying it SIM-free from Samsung with a trade-in deal.

You could save £640 depending on the phone that you trade-in towards the Galaxy Z Fold6 which could be the best way of saving on the phone. And if you’re going straight to Samsung, you could go for the exclusive Crafted Black colour which you can’t get anywhere else.

If you are looking to spread out the cost, contracts are obviously the best way to go. Our top pick for contracts to spread the cost is from Sky.

You can get the phone for £62 a month with an upfront cost of £39. But be warned – this is a 36-month contract with the ability to swap phones in 24 months. Overall, you’ll pay £2271 for the phone which is more than paying for the phone outright.

There’s also a great deal on Three which means you won’t pay any extra as interest. In total, you’ll pay £1,626 overall (without your airtime plan) which means you won’t need to worry about paying over the odds for the device. It costs £43.50 per month with a £60 upfront.

But its easier for people who need to spread the cost out for the device and might be the best for most people who don’t have £1,799 to spend on a phone right now. But if you want to look at some alternative deals, you can check out the best Samsung Galaxy S24 deals and S24 Ultra deals.

We reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 – and there might be some good and bad news if you’re looking to purchase. We gave the phone 3.5 stars out of five for being a technologically impressive gadget that is too expensive and with displays slightly too awkward to use for actual phone things to wholly recommend.

There are still too many compromises to investing in a folding phone unless you accept that you’re paying a premium to own cutting edge tech. The main issue is that folding phones don’t really solve a problem, unless you always wanted to feasibly carry around a mini tablet in your pocket.

Samsung must also face up to the fact its Android rivals have outdone it, even though the Galaxy Fold series was first to market. Though Samsung has the best software for foldables, the OnePlus Open is a better designed and cheaper book-style folding phone with a normal phone sized front screen and a barely visible crease on the inner display that also shows fewer fingerprints than on the new Z Fold 6.

The inner 7.6-inch screen looks amazing. It’s bright and benefits from the Fold 6’s new square-off design that makes it feel less toy-like compared to older generations.

The crease down the middle is least visible when you look at the phone head-on but Samsung should have worked out how to make it less prominent by now, especially with the price tag attached and the fact rival companies have it beat. You’ll have to baby the phone too, and if you’ve spent that much a case is a practical necessity – but this adds bulk and weight to an already awkward and heavy (239g) phone. When closed it feels like a remote control with a screen, such are its dimensions.
