Brooklyn Beckham’s wife has filed a lawsuit against the dog groomer she accuses of causing the death of her chihuahua, claiming he has a history of “malicious abuse”.
Nicola Peltz Beckham, an actress and daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, is suing Jony Ceballos, of New York dog grooming company HoundSpa, for killing her dog Nala in June.
According to the lawsuit, the dog died as a result of its “injuries and severe condition” a “mere two hours” after a grooming session with Mr Ceballos in a van outside Ms Peltz Beckham’s home on June 15.
It claims: “Nala went into the grooming van, a happy, healthy dog, but returned injured and in severe physical distress – breathing heavily and wheezing, with her chest pulsating.”
After the grooming session, Ms Peltz Beckham said she rushed the dog to the vet who said Nala had developed a blue tongue and diagnosed her with “neurological damage” and “fluid in her lungs”.
The lawsuit also claims Ms Peltz Beckham experienced “damages and emotional distress” after being forced to “witness her dog suffer”.
