Lady Gaga is a Moulin Rouge show girl at Olympics Opening Ceremony

Must read

ICYMI: it’s *officially* the Olympics! The multi-week celebration of sporting excellence has descended upon the Parisian capital and will see the world’s leading athletes fight it out for their countries.

However, there’s also another competition afoot ,with today’s biggest style stars (unofficially) vying for the best outfits at the events and red carpets running alongside the main sporting event.

Don’t believe us? Well, there’s already been the illustrious ‘Prelude to the Olympics’ party at the Fondation Louis Vuitton which has seen Zendaya stun in a slinky, sparkly Louis Vuitton dress and Rosalía rock an iconic naked dress.

Then, there was Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo cosplaying as their Wicked characters in matching pink and green dresses on the red carepet. Away from the Parisian setting, we’ve even seen Kendall Jenner showing her support for the USA with a *tiny* white ‘Team USA’ bikini.

And wading in among these high style stakes is none other than Lady Gaga, who left our jaws firmly on the floor with the extra af ensemble she wore to perform at the Olympics opening ceremony.

Performing the song 1961 song “Mon Truc en Plumes” – which means “My Thing with Feathers” in English – at the ceremony, she worked alongside Dior to curate a look which synergised with the song’s themes (feathers and French glam, it seems).

The custom look (which used natural molted feathers) featured a black body suit and low denier tights and a massive tailpiece featuring fuchsia and black feathers, black feather stole, black feather headpiece and opera gloves.

It’s giving Moulin Rouge showgirl if you ask us!
