The Xbox 360 Marketplace is officially shutting down in three days, which means dozens of exclusive, digital-only 360 games will no longer be available to purchase anywhere else once it does.
The Xbox 360 will be almost 20 years old next year, and to celebrate this milestone Microsoft have decided to obliterate all of its online functionality.
As they announced by Mike Nelson himself on the official Xbox website, a whole slew of games will be going on sale (some of which are up to 95% off) to commemorate the Marketplace going offline.
They also announced that some Xbox 360 merch, which they’ve named “The Heritage Collection“, will be returning for a limited time as well. I don’t know about you guys, but I felt a genuine pang of nostalgia seeing the OG “XBOX LIVE” logo splattered across one of the t-shirts.
Reading through the games on offer also feels like a blast from the past, as I personally haven’t thought about some of these games for well over a decade. Stuff like Remember Me, DeathSpank, and ArcaniA sent me back to my childhood years, browsing through the Xbox 360 Marketplace and looking at all of the games I couldn’t afford.
If you were curious which titles will be permanently unavailable once the storefront shuts down, then it’s your lucky day as GamesRadar were kind enough to compile a list of all 47 titles that will no longer be available on any platform after the 29th.
Admittedly, most people aren’t going to care that games like Mini Ninjas Adventures or Full House Poker will disappear forever in three days, but it’s still sad to think that there will be no legitimate to way to purchase games that people poured hundreds if not thousands of hours into developing.
There are also a few legit bangers on this list, stuff like The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai and Panzer General: Allied Assault, so hopefully at least some of these titles will see re-releases elsewhere in the future.
