The show’s creator said he was delighted with the star-studded cast.

He said: ‘I am thrilled that we have such an exceptional cast and such an exceptional team to tell this story inspired by an exceptional family’

House Of Guinness was written by Steven Knight, who is currently also working on the Peaky Blinders film.

Netflix announced the series – which will explore the history of the family behind the famous brewery – back in March.

On Monday, James got into character and viciously kicked a co-star when filming was seen for the first time.

Louis, 21, known for acting opposite Millie Bobby Brown in Eniola Holmes was also spotted shooting on Wednesday opposite James Norton.

He grimaced in a top hat and a brown fur-collared coat while James looked stern in an old-fashioned black three-piece suit with a thick white cravat and a suede inner jacket.

The show will be set between Dublin and New York during the 19th century, beginning after the death of Benjamin Guinness – who is credited with the brewery’s early success.

The series will chronicle the extraordinary success of the family behind the famous Irish brewery, which was founded back in 1759 by Arthur Guinness.

But behind the story of wealth and prosperity lies a tragic tale of seemingly endless misfortune for the family.

From Tara Browne, who died following a car crash in South Kensington, to scandalous affairs and divorces and the tragic drowning of Honor Uloth aged just 19 in 2020, the family seems to have been dealt a series of devastating blows.

The personal losses faced by the Guinnesses have become so infamous that the company is thought to be ‘cursed’, despite holding a fortune of over £900million today.

Creator Steven commented: ‘The Guinness dynasty is known the world over – wealth, poverty, power, influence, and great tragedy are all intertwined to create a rich tapestry of material to draw from.

‘I’ve always been fascinated by their stories and am excited to bring the characters to life for the world to see.’

It comes after it was confirmed that Peaky Blinders’ original writing and directing team will be returning alongside Cillian Murphy for the Netflix film adaptation of the hit British series.

Cillian, 48, will be reprising his role as Thomas Shelby in the period crime drama, set in late 1910s to early 1930s Birmingham, with the show’s creator Steven Knight and Tom Harper again writing and directing respectively.
