Footage shows the woman, in her 40s, lying at one end of a jetty on an giant inflatable in Olango Island in Cebu province, on July 11.

A staff member standing on top of a towering podium then leaps onto the other side – launching the woman several feet in the air.

Seconds later the woman can be seen flying up in the air out of control before slamming back onto the balloon head-first.

The woman is said to have cracked her neck when she landed.

Lifeguards were watching the tragedy unfold and reacted after the woman didn’t move around in the water after the fatal collision.

Worker Jay Paul Ontong, 21, noticed her laying motionless before he dragged her back to shore.

The Sun is not naming her to protect her grieving family’s privacy.

The lady was rushed to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center as she fell into a coma until she passed away on July 19.

Police said her official cause of death was “spinal injury due to extreme water sports”.

The inflatable ride is supposed to see people sent flying backwards into the water.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan issued a cease-and-desist order on Pinky’s Floating Cottage days after the death.

He said: “We closed down the attraction immediately after the death of the visitor.

“There will be a meeting next week to all operators to discuss the details of the current up includes the safety practices.”

The resort’s manager has maintained that all visitors are given instructions before going on the jumping balloon for their safety.

They have vowed to help the woman’s heartbroken family with hospital bills and burial expenses.
