One more European retailer has listed the AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs, 9900X, 9700X & 9600X, ahead of their launch with preliminary pricing.

PC21.fr currently has three different AMD Ryzen 9000 chips available in stock before official launch

As we move closer to the official launch date of the AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” processors, we see that some of these chips are already available for sale in various retail stores almost daily. This has been usual with the past generations but it provides some crucial information on the company’s official pricing of the upcoming processors in various regions. Of course, these might not come out to be the exact MSRP as decided by the company, so, take these prices with a grain of salt.

The French retail website PC21.fr recently listed three SKUs based on the Zen 5 architecture. These are the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 9 9900X. The 9600X is listed at €350,60, 9700X at €454,13, and 9900X at €567,42. All the listed chips are currently in stock with a few pieces left for each in the inventory.

Converting the prices to USD, the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU turns out to be at $381.72, Ryzen 7 9700X at $494.43, and Ryzen 9 9900X at $617.78. These prices are significantly higher than what we have seen in previous leaks. But these prices also include taxes which is around 20% or sometimes higher. So, with a base 20% VAT, the actual price in USD should be closer to $300 for the 9600X, around $400 for the 9700X, and somewhere around $490-$500 for the 9900X.

Comparing the recent listing of 9600X at DealTarget for $295.43, the processor is roughly at a similar price tag. While the more recent leak indicates the Ryzen 9600X to cost $229. It’s unlikely that AMD would offer a $70 price cut on the launch when it launched the Ryzen 7600X for $299. Since both retail stores are offering the 9600X at nearly $300, it is more likely that the price will stick to a $279-$299 range.

As for the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, this is probably the first time we have seen the processor hitting the shelves before launch. Even though the processor is already in the hands of a few users(probably for reviews), there was no word on its pricing previously. It looks like the 9700X is going to follow the same price trend as its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7700X, and will probably launch for $399.

Lastly, the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X is seen for the second time in a retail store. The CPU is already available in stock on Amazon.nl for a price of €508.49, which is significantly cheaper than on PC21.fr. It’s hard to confirm whether the Ryzen 9900X will cost $499 or lower, considering that the Amazon.nl listing also incorporates the VAT.

The official launch date of AMD Ryzen 9000 lineup is 31st July 2024 and till then, expect more such listings before the embargo.
