The ITV game show The 1% Club, hosted by comedian Lee Mack, made a comeback on Saturday, July 2, with a rerun episode.
The show saw 100 contestants vying for a prize of up to £100,000 by answering questions that only one percent of the country could get right.
Contestant Sarah Hannon, who missed out on the final round, humorously blamed her failure on Lee. During the game, Lee posed a question: “Which is the odd one out? ” referring to five items displayed on a screen – a cat, bat, coat, hat, and a house mat.
Nine contestants failed to answer correctly and were eliminated from the next round. When asked about her incorrect answer, Sarah jokingly said she was starstruck by Lee, leading to a humorous exchange where Lee compared her to actress Minnie Driver, causing much laughter among the participants.
He exclaimed, “No, Minnie Driver. There’s an actress called Minni Driver and you look like Minnie Driver.”
Sarah retorted, “I’m too young for that.”, reports OK!.
Lee clarified, “No, Minnie Driver when she was younger.”
Sarah appeared confused while Lee quipped, “Sorry not Minnie Driver, Richard Hammond.”
