US Secret Service ‘have blood on their hands’: Fury as agents face serious questions over Trump shooting

Must read

The US Secret Service have been scolded for their “complete failure” in the events surrounding the shooting of former president Donald Trump.

The security agency is facing widespread calls to appear before Congress to “answer questions” about the incident, where a 20-year-old gunman attempted to assassinate Trump at his Pennsylvania campaign rally.

According to reports from eyewitnesses, the Secret Service was notified of gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks “up to an hour before” the shooting took place.

Speaking to GBN America, broadcaster and comedian Tim Young condemned the “laziness and stupidity” of the security services for their failure in protecting the country’s 45th president.

Reacting to the shooting, Young told host Mark Dolan: “They’ve absolutely got blood on their hands, there’s no doubt – you have accounts coming out that witnesses saw the shooter maybe an hour ahead of time.

“There’s reports that his parents had called the police about the shooter ahead of time as well. This seems absolutely terrible.”

Criticising the head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, Young fumed: “What’s interesting to me is that Kimberly Cheadle, who is the head of the Secret Service, her previous job was head of security for Pepsi – so I’m not sure how she got this job.

“Was it a case of no bottles of Pepsi were shot while she worked there? And so she gets to be part of the Secret Service? Again, this is a complete failure.”

Raging at the Secret Service’s handling of Trump, Young raged: “There are a lot of conspiracy theories from our side – I just truly think it’s laziness and stupidity.

“And I think that’s the answer for a lot of things that go wrong in our world.”

Agreeing with Young, Mark also highlighted that it is not “the best advert for the Secret Service’s DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion)” as the force acting at the rally was largely women.

Young responded: “Not at all. It’s one of those things like the viral videos of the first time people found out that it was an all female pilot crew on a plane and they were all crying in first class.

“There was a whole moment when you took a look at the outside of Trump’s SUV as they took him off, and it was all females. I didn’t see anyone celebrating that at this time.”

Mark Dolan argued that the people protecting Donald Trump should be ‘bigger, stronger and male’

Echoing Young’s remarks, Mark argued that those protecting Trump on the day of the shooting should have been “stronger than him, bigger than him and male”.

Young replied: “They should be people who scare the living daylights out of anyone who could possibly want to attack the president of the United States.

“Not a woman who sort of looks like Rosie O’Donnell in her prime, who can’t holster her gun.”
