Liverpool transfer news live as Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen double raid plotted

Must read

The Arne Slot era is here, but Liverpool is still waiting to kickstart its transfer business this summer. The club is yet to dip into the market, and the new head coach has given a positive first impression of his squad that suggest wholesale changes are highly unlikely.

The new head coach has begun meeting his new players, including Mohamed Salah, and will run the rule over his squad. While he is happy with what he has at his disposal, there’s little doubt both Slot and FSG will oversee some movement in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Various big names have been linked with Liverpool and other top clubs around Europe. Big performances at Euro 2024 and the Copa America have only added to transfer rumors, which will only ramp up once both tournaments conclude this weekend.

Ferdi Kadioglu ‘interest’

Liverpool is being linked with a move for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu by Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet claims the Reds are among a host of Premier League suitors that could scupper a move to Juventus for the 24-year-old.

Manchester United and Newcastle are also named, while Arsenal were previously linked. Kadioglu impressed as part of the Turkey side that reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

Jeremie Frimpong ‘dreams’ of Liverpool

Jeremie Frimpong is ‘dreaming’ of a move to Liverpool this summer, according to Bild.

The 23-year-old has caught plenty of attention over the past 12 months, having been part of Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten Bundesliga champions. Frimpong is also said to be interested in Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Reds though are claimed to have been in contact ‘most recently’. They’ll have to move quickly though, with a $44m (€40m) release clause set to expire in the next week.

‘Concrete’ Eberechi Eze interest

Liverpool has a ‘concrete’ interest in Eberechi Eze, according to Football Transfers.

The Crystal Palace star has been touted as a possible replacement for Luis Diaz, who has been linked with both Barcelona and PSG this summer. The Reds though will only make a move if Diaz leaves.

Liverpool though is said to be interested in Eze, who will be in England’s squad for tomorrow’s Euro 2024 final against Spain. Palace though will not want to lose another of its stars after Michael Olise made the move to Bayern Munich.

Joao Neves ‘priority’

Liverpool has made Joao Neves its priority this summer, according to Correio de Manha.

The Reds are said to be preparing an offer for the 19-year-old. Benfica has already rejected two bids for the midfielder, with Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG also claimed to be interested.

The Lisbon club is not willing to sell for lower than Neves’ $131m (£101m) release clause though, which could pose a major problem for Liverpool.

Ederson ‘open’ to transfer

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is open to a move away from the Italian club as Liverpool weighs up a deal, according to GIVEMESPORT.

Reds sporting director Richard Hughes could take advantage of his links to Atalanta, having started out as a youth player with the club, in order to move to the negotiating table.

Liverpool though is said to have opted against attempting to sign Ederson at this stage.

Adrien Rabiot options

Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are all options for Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to Calciomercato.

The midfielder is now a free agent after his contract at Juventus expired. The Turin club has offered a new deal, although it won’t be improving upon it after signing Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram.

As well as the three clubs mentioned, AC Milan is said to have had meetings with Veroniqur Rabiot, the player’s mother and agent.

Andre Trindade ‘in talks’ elsewhere

Andre Trindade, one of Liverpool’s 2023 summer targets is set to join a different Premier League club.

His agent has travelled to London to finalize a move to Fulham, according to Trivela. A deal with Fulham is not yet agreed, however, with it claimed Fluminense wants $32m instead of the $27m bid on the table.

However, the Brazilian midfielder looks in line to replace Joao Palhinha, a year after he was heavily linked with Liverpool, who were even reported to have had a bid rejected. It seems Liverpool fans might soon get to see what they missed out on by watching him test himself in the Premier League…

Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen double raid

Liverpool is among numerous top clubs that have been linked with Napoli duo Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen. Both attacking talents have caught the eye in a big way for the Serie A side in the last two seasons.

This could be the summer they move on, and they will have no shortage of suitors. But it’s been reported Paris Saint-Germain could flex their financial muscles to blow all other clubs out the water with a sensational double raid.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Ligue 1 champion has made a huge bid to sign both players and has pledged $217m (£168m/€200m) to the cause, in the hope its outrageous finances can turn Napoli’s head in its favor.
