Emmerdale fans think they have worked out how Samson Dingle’s (played by Sam Hall) storyline will play out after he finally told the truth about what happened with Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).
After betraying his own family which led to the arrests of Moira (Natalie J Robb) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), Samson’s stepmum, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) convinced him to come clean.
As the episode came to a close on Friday, Samson broke down in tears as he began to worry about his future and whether he would go to prison for lying.
“Dad, please, I was scared and I didn’t want to go to prison,” Samson sobbed as Sam (James Hooton) shouted back: “But it was ok for Matty.”
His son continued: “I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.”
“You did,” Lydia intervened. “You have been lying to us, the police for weeks.”
“I am sorry,” Samson pleaded as Lydia ordered: “Then fix it.”
“Josh will come after me, Cain will kill me,” the teenager added. “Dad please what am I going to do?”
Telling him to flee the village, Sam replied: “Run. Get away from here, it is the only way I can help you.”
Will Samson end up fleeing the village or will his conscience get the better of him? If he does end up leaving, Matty will end up being framed for a crime he didn’t commit.
Taking to X to share their thoughts and theories, fans were left fuming by Sam’s advice to Samson and his betrayal of the Dingle family.
“Nooo don’t tell him that Sam, we want justice #Emmerdale,” one fan pleaded while another said: “Aye Samsung lad – run – tis the Dingle way #Emmerdale.” (sic)
A third added: “I’m glad Samson has finally told the truth for Matty’s sake… #emmerdale.”
Someone else fumed: “SAM?? What kind of stupid advice is that! #Emmerdale“
“Run Samson, run… fantastic advice…,” a fifth went on as another pointed out: “Samson needs to face up to what he’s done. Running is not the answer. Sam is an idiot.” (sic)
Elsewhere in the episode, tensions continued to rise at Home Farm between Kim Tate (Claire King) and Rose Jackson (Christina Tremarco).
It comes after Kim ended up covering for Billy (Jay Kontzle) after baby Evan was rushed back into hospital.
While everyone seemed to turn against Kim, she finally confessed to her husband Will (Dean Andrews) about what really happened.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
