Pellistri in exit talks

Real Valladolid head coach Paulo Pezzolano has revealed that his side have held internal talks regarding the prospect of signing Man United starlet Facundo Pellistri. “He would be a very important player,” Pezzonalo told radio station Carve Deportivo (via MEN)

“We talked about many names (with the sports management) and one of them, without a doubt, is him. I think it could benefit him a lot to be with us, although there are financial details that can or cannot be given.”

Man Utd youngster given pro deal

Man Utd have handed a first professional deal to highly-rated teenager Jack Kingdon.

The 18-year-old centre-half will become part of the first-team squad following his stellar progress through the club’s ranks. Last April, Kingdon featured in training alongside Erik ten Hag’s big names and remained a regular for the United youth side.

He was a defensive linchpin as the U18s claimed the treble last term, occasionally donning the captain’s armband. Kingdon will be hoping to make his debut in the coming season with the MEN reporting that those within the Manchester club expect more club graduates to be handed their first outings.

Ethan Williams was the most recent homegrown youngster to be given his debut. Kingdon moved to United from Morecambe for a six-figure fee in November 2020.
