Prince Harry’s friends ‘avoiding Meghan Markle’ as Duke of Sussex isolated in the US

Must read

Prince Harry’s friends are said to be “avoiding him” because of Meghan Markle as the Duke of Sussex grows “increasingly bored” in the US, a royal commentator has claimed.

Author Tom Quinn stated Harry’s old friends will not visit the Duke because “they find Meghan difficult”.

Quinn added that Harry’s friends from the military service are “part of the old pre-Meghan world” which the Prince “hates to revisit”.

It comes as many felt “betrayed” by what he shared about the military service in his memoir, Spare.

Some of Harry’s old friends “don’t like Meghan” and blame the Duchess for turning the Duke into “Harry the Hippy.”

“Harry on the other hand is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult,” Quinn told The Mirror.

Last month, Harry was nowhere to be seen at one of his oldest friends’ wedding.

Hugh Grosvenor, who is godfather to the Sussexes’ son Archie, married Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral – but the Duke did not attend.

While in London for the Invictus Games in May, Harry did not stay with friends and family and instead stayed in a hotel alone.

During his visit to the UK, the Duke did not see his father, King Charles.

The monarch was attending a Buckingham Palace garden party, while Harry attended the Invictus Games service.

Harry and Meghan moved to Montecito, California in 2020 after leaving their royal roles.

The Prince of Wales is understood to not share his father King Charles’s inclination to forgive and reunite with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

King Charles did briefly reunite with Prince Harry in February this year.

However, Prince William did not meet with his younger brother and he did not attend his Invictus Games anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral in May.
