A mum who exhausted herself working two jobs while raising her two sons has scooped a whopping £200,000 from a £1 bet – and is now quitting Britain to live her dream life in Thailand.‌

Araya Curry is about to wave goobye to her life working for minimum wage as hospice cleaner by day and as a restaurant waitress in the evening. After winning big on Betfred’s own numbers game the Nifty Fifty she is now planning on going back to her native Thailand where her cash will let her and her family live the high life.‌




The win has totally transformed Araya and her husband Andy’s lives. The 40-year-old mum, who lives in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, said:“I have been working 14-hour days for a long time so this fantastic win has totally transformed the lives not just for me and Andy but our children too. “

Their plans to acquire land in Thailand have been brought forward because of the win and work on their a six -bedroom has already begun, reports Daily Star.

‌Araya’s husband Andy, 45, – a former fireman who met her while on holiday 20 years ago – added: “I still can’t believe you can win £200,000 from a £1 bet.‌

Betfred chief Fred Done has been invited to visit the Curry family to stay in their dream Thailand home when it’s finished as a thank you.‌

He said: “There has never been a more deserving winner in our 57-year history than Araya who along with her husband works so hard and deserve all the luck in the world.”
