Must read

SimWorks Studios (SWS) and FSReborn, two of the most respected developers in the flight simulation community, have teamed up to bring us a high-fidelity rendition of the classic Boeing 727 airliner. Announced early in 2023, this project has been flying under the radar with minimal updates. However, at FSExpo 2024, SWS and FSReborn finally unveiled the first images of their Boeing 727 model, revealing exciting plans for this iconic jetliner.

The developers announced that the 727 would debut in MSFS 2024, starting with the 727-200 Advanced (ADV) passenger version. This base package will expand with additional variants, including the 727-200F cargo, 727-100, VIP, fire response, oil spill control, and Zero-G models. This ambitious roadmap aims to cover the entire spectrum of the 727’s operational history.

To achieve a high level of authenticity, SWS and FSReborn are utilizing 3D scans and hundreds of photos from real aircraft. These resources serve as the foundation for creating a highly accurate and detailed virtual model of the 727. The developers are also incorporating feedback from the flight simulation community to enhance the realism and accuracy of the model.

Inside the 727, the cockpit will feature a hybrid panel that combines traditional steam gauges with modern FMC/MFD systems. Additionally, the aircraft will include FSReborn’s renowned immersion features and an effects pack from //42, promising a rich and engaging simulation experience from takeoff to landing.
