This summer, Emirates is going above and beyond to streamline your travel experience from Dubai. As the busy travel season kicks off on July 6, Emirates Airlines is not only providing free ice cream but also essential tips for a smooth airport experience.
During the busiest times, Emirates advises travelers to account for possible traffic delays en route to the airport and expect longer wait times at immigration. For a hassle-free journey, Emirates recommends:
- Arriving at the airport 3 hours before your flight.
- Completing immigration formalities at least 1.5 hours before your flight.
- Being at the correct boarding gate 1 hour before departure.
Convenient Check-In Options:
- Home Check-In: Schedule this service at least 24 hours in advance, and an agent will handle your check-in at your home, hotel, or office.
- Mobile App and Website: Use the Emirates app or website to check in, download boarding passes, manage flights, and more.
- Early Bag Drop: You can leave your luggage at the airport the night before or up to 24 hours before your flight.
Remote Check-In Locations:
- DIFC: Utilize the Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), open daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
- Ajman Central Bus Terminal: This facility is open 24/7 for passengers from the northern Emirates.
Pre-Order Duty-Free Shopping:
Passengers can pre-order duty-free items online up to 40 hours before their flight, with delivery directly to their seat onboard.
Enjoy complimentary ice cream at Dubai International Airport’s red and white striped carts in Terminal 3 every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm, available until July 28. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, and mango sorbet.
Emirates is committed to making family travel enjoyable, offering free in-airport strollers, airport buggies, and dedicated kids’ play areas. Whether traveling with family or solo, Emirates ensures a pleasant and stress-free beginning to your journey.
