Manchester United’s plans for Jadon Sancho return to Carrington next week

Must read

Manchester United expect Jadon Sancho to report for pre-season training on Monday.

Sancho, 24, has not trained with the first team since he was banished from the squad by manager Erik ten Hag in September and it is unclear if he will participate in the senior squad’s sessions next week.

United sources say Sancho is available for transfer and valued at around £40million. United bought Sancho for £72.9m in 2021.

Ten Hag said he dropped Sancho from the matchday squad for the defeat to Arsenal on September 3 due to his performances in training and Sancho swiftly accused the Dutchman of lying in a public post on his X, formerly Twitter, page.

Sancho refused to apologise for the outburst and was relocated to the dressing room in the academy building at United’s Carrington training complex.

The winger had to get changed for training in a locked room due to safeguarding reasons as under-18s were also on the premises.
