Next week on Casualty, there is a sighting of Jacob’s son Blake, while Cam is cut off from his friends and Rash and Tariq clash again.
With next week’s episode airing on BBC Two because of BBC One’s Olympics coverage, here’s a full collection of the biggest stories coming up:
1. Jacob is in danger
Jacob and Jan arrive at a callout after a prison van has crashed. They meet Rich at the scene. He’s concerned about a prisoner named Kelly who’s locked inside.
When Rich manages to get the door open, Kelly lunges at him and attacks him with a crossbar.
Jacob later goes to check on Kelly, but she’s cut herself badly and threatens to hurt him too, unless he calls her son Levi.
2. Cam returns to work
In the previous episode, Cam opened up to Siobhan about Jamie’s abuse. It’s now his first day at work after his leave of absence.
He’s pleased to be back, but Siobhan breaks the news to him that Jamie has been reported missing and is on the loose.
3. Rash is disappointed
Rash lies to Tariq and says that he’s got the go-ahead from Siobhan to restart his CESR training, which was paused following his suicide attempt.
He approaches Siobhan about this, but she reminds him that the training is intense and questions whether he’ll be able to handle it, leaving Rash downbeat.
The day gets worse when he makes a discovery about Tariq that leads to a tense confrontation between the cousins.
4. Jacob makes a breakthrough
At the ED, Jacob answers a call that could be about his son Blake, but Jan has lost patience and says his search means he isn’t spending time with Carter.
Meanwhile, Sophia is running a mental health meeting and spots Blake – but someone else arrives demanding money from him, and Sophia’s caught in the middle.
Sophia later tells Jan that she thinks she saw Blake, who in turn tells Jacob. Will he be able to find his son?
5. Faith looks to the future

Faith is in the middle of filling out an application to medical school after expressing interest in retraining as a doctor, and she asks Dylan to check it over before the deadline.
But she isn’t best pleased when she later has to treat an unexpected patient and accidentally says the wrong thing.
6. Siobhan lends a hand
Siobhan pairs Cam and Jodie up to treat a patient to encourage them to make up, but Jodie is still hurt by what Cam said in his drunken outburst.
Jodie tells him that she and Rida want to move out of their shared house, but he later gets a much-needed lifeline from Siobhan.
7. Sophia reaches out
Following the tragic death of Dylan’s beloved dog Dervla, Sophia wants to make sure he’s okay.
She presents a gift to Dylan – a keyring with a dog on the chain – to remind him of Dervla, and he’s touched by the gesture.
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
