Cornwall is blessed with a plethora of farm shops where you can pick up some of the freshest local produce around. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to quality local produce – all made and grown right here.
There’s an added joy that comes with buying food when you know exactly where it comes from and helping a local business at the same time. And it’s not just fruit, veg, meat and fish that are on offer – many farm shops are treasure troves of delicious home-produced treats like artisan chutneys, jams, gins, cakes and pastries, along with arts and crafts and gift ideas.

Hilltop Farm Shop, Camelford
The farm shop, cafe and restaurant sells local Cornwall produce and fresh fruit & veg, along with locally made Cornish gifts. It’s wheelchair friendly and there’s free parking and WiFi.
Dogs are not allowed in the cafe but there’s a covered outside seating area where you can eat and drink, joined by your dog. The food menu finishes at 3pm but you can still enjoy tea and cakes until 3pm.

Padstow Farm Shop, Padstow
The award-winning Tregirls Farm shop, butchery and deli sells everything from meat and Cornish cheeses to local veg, homemade meal pots and salads. There is also a selection of alcohol including Cornish ale, cider, sparkling wine, gin and rum.
It also sells Padstow Pasta, made from the farm’s own Durum wheat, which has a rough finish unlike supermarket mass-produced pasta that ensures sauce sticks to the surface.

Cows and Sows, Idless
Found just north of Truro, Cows and Sows is a quirky farm shop, tea room, art gallery and plant nursery in a converted rice horsebox. Plants for sale include tomato plants, runner beans, broad beans, fruit trees, annuals and perennials and tasty treats on the menu include hedgerow ice creams and Italian hot chocolate.

Trevilley Farm Shop, Newquay
The working farm has an on-site farm shop selling homegrown produce as well as items from more than 100 suppliers. The farm sells its own beef, lamb, turkeys and vegetables, with quail eggs from its quails.
It makes its jams, marmalades, chutneys and pickles, as well as bread, Cornish pasties, pies, quiches, sausage rolls and cakes too.

Argal Farm Shop, Falmouth
This family-run farm shop says it offers “essentials as well as lots of lovely Cornish treats”, along with a wide range of plants. Its latest offerings include Cornish new potatoes, parsley and rhubarb.
Customers can also pick up meat, vegetarian and veggie pies and Cornish cheeses. The shop sells freshly cut local flowers which are delivered every week.

Boscastle Farm Shop, Boscastle
The award-winning farm shop and cafe sells everything from meats and Bocastle-caught lobster to homemade pies, quiches and cakes, soups and ready meals. It was recently named a Taste of the West 2024 Gold Winner for its Scotch eggs, Hoggs Pudding and Cherry Bakewell slice.

Tre, Pol & Pen, Launceston
The farm shop has a meat counter and a butchery and sells a range of homemade, essential groceries and speciality grocery items. Sweet treats include croissants, cruffins, pain aux raisins, and special daily creations. It also sells a range of West Country cheeses and the deli team makes pasties, pies, quiches and scotch eggs.

Etherington’s Farm Shop, Redruth
The farm shop specialises in locally-reared meats but you’ll find everything from everyday store cupboard ingredients to Cornish pasties and specialist products. Its bakery team make nearly 1,000 pasties a day.
It also sells Cornish arts and crafts and a selection of local cheeses along with beers, Cornish gins and fine wines. An in-store delicatessen serves up treats including olives, sun-dried tomatoes and charcuterie.

Trink Dairy Farm Shop, St. Ives
Specialising in dairy, the site also has a milk vending machine open 24 hours a day, which takes contactless cards. The machine also serves up milkshakes in six different flavours – along with the odd special. Bring your own bottle or milk jug or you can buy glass bottles in two different sizes.

Lobbs Farm Shop at Heligan
Run by the Lobb brothers, their farm produces “premium-quality Cornish grass-fed beef & lamb” and a variety of seasonal vegetables – all available in the ship alongside a range of other Cornish and West Country products. If you can’t make it there in person, some items are also available to buy in their online shop.

Richards of Cornwall, Hayle
The friendly family-run shop sells homegrown fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry along with products from small artisan producers. There is a range of award-winning Cornish cheeses and dairy products, homemade jams, chutneys and sauces and hand-pressed apple juice.

Trudgian Farm, Truro
The family-run business has been farming since 1901 and selling directly to the public since 1994 and says it is “committed to producing high-quality meat and vegetables in a traditional manner”. No artificial hormones or growth promoters are used and it says chemical sprays and fertilizers are only used where absolutely necessary.
Beef, lamb or pork can be cut to your requirements and a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables is on sale every day. There is also a deli counter stocked with a selection of cold meats, pate and locally produced cheeses.

Trevaskis Farm, Hayle
Trevaskis Farm Shop says it aims to provide everything under one roof, “from your everyday store cupboard essentials to the more artisan product or food lover’s delight.” Staff are on hand to help out with seasonal suggestions, recipes, how to put together the perfect cheeseboard and more. The shop sells fresh fruit and vegetables and has a butchery, fishmongers, deli, dairy and bakery. Cornish cheeses include Yarg, Helford White, St Endellion Brie, Trelawny and Cornish Blue.

You’ll find Bailey’s Country Store and farm shop in Penryn, a stone’s throw away from Falmouth. It says it aims to “showcase the best of what Cornwall has to offer”. There is also an in-house kitchen, where cakes, sausage rolls, sandwiches and soups are prepared using local produce.

Tredinnick Farm Shop & Tea Rooms, Looe
The family-run farm shop in Looe says it offers “great local produce, meats, beer, wines and spirits, pet foods, fresh fruit and veg and Cornish goodies”. Its cafe serves up traditional Cornish cream teas and hearty breakfasts.

Trevallick’s Farm Shop, Liskeard
Found on the edge of Bodmin moor, the farm shop and cafe is known for its Cornish cream teas. It says it tries to ensure that “as much of our produce is from as close as possible and most certainly Cornish”.
It’s also proud to stock every variety of Cornish gin currently on the market and gin sampler hampers can be purchased for gin enthusiasts. The cafe also serves a gin-taster afternoon tea complete with four Cornish gins.

Trevithick and Trays Farm Shop & Café, St Austell
This farm shop and cafe can be found just off the B3273 from St Austell to Pentewan and sells a “comprehensive range of delicious locally-sourced Cornish food and drink”, including bread, fruit and vegetables, locally reared meats, cheese, cream, eggs, milk and deli treats. Baker Tom’s products are delivered fresh on Fridays and Saturdays and you can also order them in-store in advance.
