Experts have shared the best hourly paying jobs in the UK which you don’t need a degree to get. It’s a common misconception that you need a university degree to get a job with a high salary,
But there are a range of jobs that can earn you a hefty full time salary without one. Considering that students face debts of more than £50,000 after completing their course, many are turning away from the ‘traditional’ route into work.
Job site Adzuna shared 15 roles that don’t require a degree, using data from vacancies on its website. The roles pay between £18 and £30 an hour, which equates to an annual full time salary of between £37,000 and £63,000 before tax – well above the national average of £35,000, reports the Mirror.
The list includes jobs just as a rope access consultant, which is someone who works on a rope doing tasks such as window cleaning, painting, welding, pressure washing and other maintenance activities. Adzuna found some listings for these roles at £30 per hour.
Other roles featured are a UI designer – someone who designs the graphical user interface of an app, website, or device that you interact with – which on average paid around £27.15 an hour. The role of a butler is also on the list at £18.03 an hour, as well as Executive Assistant paying on average around £18.26 an hour.

Currently in the UK, the National Living Wage for someone aged 21 and over sits at £11.44 an hour. The National Minimum Wage for people aged 18-20 is just £8.60 an hour.
It is important to note that while a degree isn’t required for these jobs, other requirements may be needed such as GCSE qualifications or external certifications.
